Beginner guides: Gear and tools

Don't leave home without us


Purchased or Built your Mountain bike the next step acquiring the proper gear, spares and tools plus a little extra stuff you might need.

HELMET
Full face- covers your whole head used by Downhill, freeride any high risk discipline.
Half shell- covers your head and part of its back comes in Many flavors XC, AM, skate types.

Bottles and hydration bags
Water bottles comes in many sizes the best ones are insulated to keep your water cool .

Hydration bag with bladder comes in varying water capacities for all day rides. Plus additional storage for stuff you need to carry like food, spares, etc.

Garb
Cycling underwear, shorts with padding a cyclist best friend.
Dri fit or anti wicking shirts, jerseys keeps you cool and dry during those sweaty sessions.
Gloves
Shoes not exactly MTB specific if you are using platform pedals then skate shoes will suffice.

Tools essential carry with you every ride items include:
Bike Multi tool with a chain breaker
Hand pump for presta or schrader
Missing link
Tire levers
Patch kits
Tubes at least two
First aid kit
Alcohol
Sun screen
Candies or biscuit in case you get hungry
Cellphone
Coins and small loose bills
Valid ID

Some other stuff you might need:
Home bike rack doubles as a handy repair stand.
Car bike rack stuffing your bike inside the car feasible but not convenient. Invest in a CHEAP strap to the back of your car rack. Upgrade to the more expensive roof, or hitch rack if desired.
